WORTHY: The Weepies

Remember Greg Tannen, who visited the Tree House in March 2005?

His brother, Steve Tannen, is in a band with Deb Talan called The Weepies, and we love their sound.

It's very laid back, folk-pop but with great lyrics. And there's something very interesting about the way Deb sings.

They were both independent artists before meeting in 2002 and starting writing songs together. Now they're on the label Network Records, but their unique sound and songwriting hasn't changed.

They're coming through the Monterey Bay area on Wednesday, May 24th, in Santa Cruz's newest club, The Attic. It's a beautiful club from all accounts, and Juliet and I can't wait to check it out for the first time.
